Boost Your Protein Intake the Natural Way with Hemp

Ingredients
- 100g pitted dates. Chopped
- 40ml boiling water
- 60g almonds or cashews
- 40g hemp protein powder (either 40% or 50%)
- 25g Hemp hearts (you can easily add more if you like)
- 25g Cacao powder
- 1 tbsp nut butter (almond, peanut, or cashew)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional for extra fibre)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of sea salt
- Coating (optional) – Hemp hearts, Desiccated coconut, chopped nuts or cocoa powder for rolling
Instructions
- Blend the nuts and hearts in a food processor until finely ground, becoming a paste.
- Add the boiling water to the chopped dates, leave to soak for 5 mins.
- Meanwhile add the hemp protein, cacao powder, nut butter, honey/syrup, seeds, vanilla, and sea salt, then add the date mixture and blend until well combined.
- Roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls.
- If desired, roll each ball in your choice of coating.
- Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
