Ingredients

150g  – Oats
100g – Branflakes/Cornflakes
80g Hemp protein powder (40% or 50%)
75g – Butter
70g – Pitted dates
60g – Boiling Water
60g – Syrup/Honey (50:50 or your choice)
45g – Mixed seeds
40g – Hemp Hearts
40g – Brown sugar
25g – Hemp seed oil
25g – Dried Cranberries

Method

  • Chop the dates, place in a jug and add the boiling water, set aside to soak
  • Crush the bran flakes, add seeds, oats, protein, hearts and cranberries, mix through.
  • Melt butter, add syrup/honey, sugar, oil, set aside.
  • Whizz the dates with a hand blender and add to butter mixture
  • Mix all ingredients together until completely combined
  • Press into a greased 27x18cm tin, smooth over with the back of a spoon
  • Bake in moderate oven (170 fan) for 13 minutes
  • Mark out slices with a sharp knife while warm
  • Cut right through when cold
  • You can drizzle with dark chocolate for extra sweetness
